Vukovi are leading the way with a record-breaking five nominations for the Heavy Music Awards 2023, which has just announced its full list of nominations.

Taking place on 26th May at London's OVO Arena Wembley, this is set to the be the largest awards night in the history of UK heavy music. The nomination announcement comes with the opening of the public vote, where you can cast your choices here.

Halestorm, Ghost and Nova Twins were other standout names with a stellar four nominations each, having all released some of 2022's most prestigious albums. HMAs veterans Architects were in the mix with three nominations, alongside Witch Fever, Cassyette and Static Dress, all of whom have been out on the road this past month.

GROAT favourites are scattered throughout the nominations, and we'd like to give a particular nod to Zulu who are up for Best International Breakthrough Artist having just dropped a phenomenal debut album. It's difficult to see past the comedy gold of Electric Callboy's 'Hurrikan' for Best Video, whilst Heriot continue a deserved run of hype in the metal scene with a nomination for Best Breakthrough Album.
