Queens of the Stone Age announce trio of UK dates

Queens of the Stone Age have announced details of their first UK shows in five years!

After cancelling their 2021 Reading & Leeds headline slots due to logistical issues, the US rock titans will stop off in some glorious outdoor venues in Halifax, Margate and Cardiff amidst a series of European festival appearances.

The band are no stranger to enormous outdoor shows, having headlined London's Finsbury Park and Cornwall's Eden Project the last time they stopped by our shores in the summer of 2018. With a five day gap after the Cardiff show, this news adds fuel to the rumour that Josh Homme and co. will be making an appearance at Glastonbury.

It's been quiet in terms of new music since 2017's chart-topper Villains, yet not for all of the members. Bassist Michael Shuman joined us on Episode 3 of The GROAT Podcast to discuss his hip-hop led project GLU, which you can listen to here. After a successful UK tour and EP release, it looks like GLU will be put on hold as QOTSA make their return to the live circuit.

Tickets go on sale here on Friday 21st April, and you can view the full list of dates below:

20th June - The Piece Hall, Halifax

22nd June - Dreamland Margate

23rd June - Cardiff Castle
