PVRIS have announced that their fourth album will be titled EVERGREEN - and it's set to arrive on 14th July 2023. To accompany the news, the band have released what will be the record's fourth single in 'GOOD ENEMY.'
Opening with a spaced out riff, it kicks into full force and knocks you off guard in an abrupt way, continuing on the stylistic direction from previous single 'GODDESS.' It's a signature Lyndsey Gunnulfsen (vocalist) track, flowing through the verse before pushing the melodier higher as the chorus kicks into action.
It's set to be an introspective album that also contextualises much of the uncertainty surrounding the present day, with the title alluding to how impatient and short-form society has become. On EVERGREEN, Gunnulfsen says, "In our modern culture where everything is online, algorithm-based, and instantaneous, it feels like timelessness, longevity and connection could someday become dying concepts. More than ever, PVRIS has, and always will be anti-formula, anti-virality, and anti-instant gratification.”
There will be a chance to see PVRIS live in the UK either side of album release, as they come over to stop off at Slam Dunk Festival in Leeds and Hatfield on the May Bank Holiday weekend. In October, you can also catch them in arenas supporting none other than Fall Out Boy.
