Poppy drops brand new industrial banger

Prolific Popstar turned metal Poppy is back once again in 2023 with her new song "Church Outfit".

After a stream of consistently excellent projects dabbling in all manner of heavy genres (I Disagree being one of the best metal records of 2020) Poppy is now delving into the world of industrial-tinged electronic music. Whilst she is no stranger to industrial elements we've never seen her take on the electronic side of the genre until now and let me tell you it's bloody good.

The track consists at its core of a heavy throbbing bass surrounded by various classic metallic groans and screeches that you might find on a classic Nine Inch Nails record. However, this song would fit more at home on a classic Gesaffelstein project or a Giant Swan release. the instrumental is incredibly dynamic, never staying the same or becoming stale over it's blistering, sub 2 minutes run time. Poppy effortlessly sings over the track with sufficiently bleak lyrics such as "This is my the dress that I want to be buried in" and "Life is a commercial for death".

I can't wait to see where Poppy goes with this sound because Poppy has proven she has the musical chops to take on any sound she pleases.
