New acts and stage splits shared for Reading & Leeds

Reading and Leeds Festivals have shared a colossal second wave of artists for their 2023 edition, taking place on the traditional August bank holiday weekend.

Over 70 names have been added, joining the previously announced headline sextet of The Killers, Billie Eilish and Sam Fender closing each night on Main Stage East, with Lewis Capaldi, Imagine Dragons and Foals topping Main Stage West.

On the Friday at Leeds, alt-pop superstar Rina Sawayama brings her Hold The Girl tour to Main Stage East, with indie-rock royalty The Amazons set to open the stage.

It's a rare UK appearance for Ethel Cain, who brings her unique, gothic sound to the Festival Republic stage alongisde Leeds locals English Teacher - whilst Songer is a welcome rap addition on the Radio 1Xtra stage.

Mercury Prize nominees Yard Act will take to home turf on the Saturday at Leeds, which boasts a rock-heavy line-up through the stages with The Murder Capital, Normandie and Knocked Loose added.

GROAT dance-band favourites NOISY will bring the energy early on, while the soothing beats of London's Finn Foxell and the mysterious The Last Dinner Party also join the line-up.

While the Sunday will inevitably be closed by Mr Brightside, Holly Humberstone and Arlo Parks are two enormous additions to the Main Stages. Sleep Token are one of the few metal acts on the line-up having had a viral rise in 2023 with their surprise five singles, whilst Nieve Ella and Caity Baser add yet another festival to a packed season for the rising pop stars.
