Momma have shared their most complex and polished release yet, in the form of new single 'Bang Bang.'
The track begins with an almost uncomfortable, jangling synth line before their trademark alt-rock rhythm guitars kick in to add a shoegaze flavour that evokes all the nostalgia chords in you.
There's a consistent chord line that progresses the song in a traditional Momma way, but that synth line returns on a piano during the bridge - transporting you straight to a Slowdive track with a fresh twist.
It's their first release since 2022's Household Name, and came from a drunken experience of COVID-19 isolation, the band share: "Within a night we had demoed a hot sounding song about great sex."
You can check out 'Bang Bang' here, and catch Momma live in the UK supporting Alex G over the course of March.
