Live Report: Citizen at The Electric Ballroom, London

Off the back of their latest album Calling The Dogs, last night Citizen hit Camden's Electric Ballroom for their biggest London headline to date. On top form the setlist went deep on their now over a decades worth of material with a healthy dose of their fantastic, indie leaning new project.

Opener "Hyper Trophy" set a feel good relaxed vibe to the night with a roar of approval from the crowd. Instantly there was a loving energy exchange in the room commanded by one of the sweetest front people out there in Mat Kerekes, with singalongs from the get go.

Personal favourite tunes "Jet", "The Summer", "Yellow Love" and "Big Mouth" all went down amazingly with surprisingly early appearances for scene classics, "The Night I Drove Alone" and "How Does It Feel?".

Citizen shows really feel like a community occasion with plenty of familiar faces in the crowd from various other scene gigs. There feels like a shared history between the band and the fans with their emotional lyrically songs soundtracking the lives of many.

An impeccable setlist executed to perfection by one of the most loved bands in the scene.
