Leeds post-punkers Drahla are back with a bang armed with wonky groover "Lip Sync".
Channelling elements of industrial, post-rock and jazz into one off-kilter tune. It begins with pounding distorted snares and a bassline reminiscent of early Nine Inch Nails which is soon joined by angular guitar chords which cause the bass to switch up its groove. After this, we get some saxes that remind me of the outro to "Sunglasses" by Black Country New Road in their frenetic playing style. Through the short run time, the track builds in intensity with the bass coming to the front of the mix with an even heavier riff in the second half.
A great return from the band ahead of their much-anticipated European dates.
