Hull-based Shoegaze band bdrmm announce sophomore album

Credit: Katherine Mckenzie

Today is a big news day for bdrmm.

The Hull-based quartet are back and have announced today that they're signing to Mogwai's Rock Action label which is already home to some amazing artists such as Blanck Mass and Swervedriver.

Alongside this announcement we got news of their sophomore record titled I Don't Know which drops on June 30th.

Our first taste from the album comes in the form of a new single titled "It's Just A Bit Of Blood". It's a multiphased shoegaze tune starting out with spaced-out, reverby, clean guitars before barrelling into some driving chords which drop out as some trip-hop-esque drums enter the mix. The vocals are reminiscent of Radiohead with falsettos like Thom Yorke and interesting finger-picked chords.

It's a great piece of shoegaze in a year where the genre is past its peak of popularity but certainly not quality if the bdrmm boys have anything to say about it.
