Jackson Guitars have unveiled the American Series Virtuoso this week, continuing their cutting-edge streak of producing some of the most iconic guitars in rock and metal. To celebrate the occasion, British metal outfit Heriot played a secret, exclusive show in London last night at the Dr Martens Boot Room.
Vocalist and guitarist Debbie Gough, who is a Jackson artist herself, commented on her long-standing connection with the brand ahead of the release of the Virtuoso: “I’ve been playing Jackson since I was 14 years old and fell in love instantly and guitars like the Virtuoso that bring such versatility and power have kept me in love with the brand and metal music ever since.”
Luke from team GROAT went down to the show:
Heriot delivered an intimate set with their unique brand of crushing riffs with some industrial flair - they're one of the most exciting heavy bands out right now. With technical prowess at their instruments, immense speedy passages as well as some, frankly beautiful, ambient passages they brought a varied set with plenty of head-bangable material to get into. The sound in the room was noisy yet tight, massive and controlled. I can't wait for whatever comes next from the band, because they do not miss.
