Eli Hurt's new song calls out anyone who pretends like the emo phase didn't happen or exist. For Eli, it is not a past life but something to be embraced. A developmental experience that is never really left behind apart from by those who would consider themselves 'Hot Shit'.
It's got a classic pop punk chorus in the vein of State Champs or Simple Plan with a guitar solo to match. However, this is not your standard emo/pop-punk affair. The verses centre around a chilled out electric piano with throbbing electronics strangely reminiscent of an Electric Callboy track. An anthem for those out of their teenage years and still proud of their emo-ness.
Eli has announced his debut album “Ouch, Eli Hurts” will land on Friday 14th April 2023 via Rude Records.
