Taking place on the 1st and 2nd September 2023, the festival takes over The Downs once again to provide one of 2023's most exciting, progressive line-ups that stands firmly by its tagline: "For the future."

Joining Erykah Badu on the opening day is Bonobo, who brings his eclectic catalogue of electronica and trip-hop to Bristol. Aussie dance-pop pioneers Confidence Man continue their relentless streak of UK festival appearances, alongside GROAT favourite Biig Piig off the back of her UK tour this week and seminal mixtape Bubblegum. Rising star Olivia Dean adds her jazz and soul-tinted voice to the Friday, alongside a host of other names.

Aphex Twin's long-awaited return to Bristol will close Forwards Festival, with an undercard that includes Scottish legends Primal Scream and one of the punk bands of the moment in Viagra Boys. Ahead of her sophomore album, Mercury Prize winner Arlo Parks will also appear on the 2nd September, alongside Jockstrap and GROAT favourite jazz artist Yazmin Lacey.
