Manchester has been announced as the location for BBC 6 Music Festival, taking place between 24th and 26th March 2023. This marks the first year of a permanent move to Manchester, which will become the festival's home for the forseeable future after hosting its inaugural event in 2014.
O2 Victoria Warehouse will play host to the headline sets, which have been also announced today. Loyle Carner, Christine and the Queens and Arlo Parks will respectively headline the three nights, with support coming from the likes of Lava La Rue and The Big Moon.
On the Thursday, Band on the Wall will play host to a BBC Introducing showcase to open the festival, which includes Phoebe Green.
Indie Forever and Rave Forever will continue the party into the early hours of the opening two nights, featuring DJ sets from the likes of Leeds post-punks Yard Act and club legends Hot Chip. Daniel Avery will host the Morning After Mix on Sunday lunchtime, rounding off a stacked timetable that truly spotlights the station - and the UK's - eclectic versatility.
